Amber, Eric's wife, is the co-founder of North Star Adventure Consulting, an experienced expedition leader, talented photographer, avid backcountry adventurer, and passionate conservationist. She attended photography workshops with National Geographic and had her portfolio reviewed by one of the photography editors for National Geographic Magazine. Amber recently organized and led a caving expedition to Kashmir, India, possesses a tremendous backcountry resume, and has backpacked hundreds of miles of the Appalachian Trail, trekked through Glacier National Park, explored above the Arctic Circle on the Lofoten Archipelago of Norway, snowshoed through the John Muir Wilderness in a multi-day Winter trek, and braved the still smoldering lava fields of Eyjafjallajökull volcano caldera in Iceland. Her love of wildlife and lifelong dedication to stewardship of our natural world led her to support a variety of environmental causes, including her current work with Resolute Conservation. In addition to her considerable outdoor resume, Amber is an accomplished Equestrian, upper level Dressage rider and trainer, a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner, and the owner of Elite Power Stables in Purcellville, Virginia.
